Gender Within Adverts

Gender Within Adverts

These three adverts are all marketed for the female audience. These toys are aimed at young girls and all include a level of femininity. the first advert shows the audience the product is aimed at young girls who want to play a motherly role to the toy doll. although the children are very young the toy is seen as acceptable due to British ideology as adults see no problem in children playing with dolls in a motherly role as that is what women are seen to do later within life.
the second advert is also aimed at the female audience as this toy is a female doll that revolves around fashion and beauty. the dolls all have high heeled shoes on and are wearing make up. this advert appeals to young girls as this is what young girls would like to wear.
the third and final advert is a barbie advert which is also aimed at female audiences. The Barbie doll is  dressed as a princess which is appealing to young girls as most young girls dream of growing up and living like a princess.

These three adverts are all marketed for the male audince. These toys are aimed at a male audince as they all have a level of masculinity about them. For example within the first advert we can see it is a Transformers action figure, the action figure has a primary audince of young males as they like playing with action figures that cause distruction. the second advert we see is a football tyope toy which has a young boy demonstarting the toy. Although football is aimed at both genders this toy is mainly aimed at males as the at a young age mostly only males are interested. Finally in the last advert we can see how the toy is a nerf gun aimed at all ages. this would be appealing to the male audinence as it encourages combat which the male population like.
