·      Which characters do you think are the most important in this scene?

i    I think the man with the spherical object is an important character as the strange object gives us the sense of importance. he is openly speaking to all the members of the group and is made to look big. I also the think the man in the army uniform is also important due to the uniform and the object he is studying. The objects and the uniform are good iconography as they are symbolising something important.

·      What do the props in the foreground and background tell you about what is happening? 

t    The army uniform of the man symbolises disaster and the army are usually the first on the scene in disastrous situations. we can also see a lot of paperwork and a chalkboard in the background this may have writing on referring to the disaster.

·      What typical elements of the disaster movie genre are evident in this frame?

      The typical elements of a disaster movie that are evident are strange objects and the armed forces. this gives us a real sense of urgency as panic as we see the armed forces as serious.
