Magazine Analysis

Magazine Analysis

Bliss magazine

colours - The colours included are pink, baby blue, white and black. these colours tell us that the magazine is aimed at females as the colours are female orientated.

Title block -  The title is a very bold title in pink and is a sans serif font. The title appears to give a very friendly mode of address.

Mode of Address -  Direct mode of address is used as taylor swift is looking directly at the audience but in a friendly way. taylor appears to be very elegant.

Buzz words -  the magazine uses words such as exclusive, perfection, overload, hot.

Content -  within this magazine there appears to be a large amount of content as the front cover is packed with puffs which gives the reader an insight into what the can expect within the magazine. there also appears to be a fashion section that will appeal to the female audience even more

Audience -  We can easily gather that the primary audience is a female audience aimed towards females within the 10 - 16 age range.  with regards to the uses and gratifications theory i would say the magazine aims to help with identification as fashion is included and a female pop icon is the main cover picture. she is also very attractive which means young girls may want to be like her. i would also say the magazine would be for entertainment and for social interaction as the audience may want to read about taylor swift and discuss with their friends. Also According to the NRS audience classification i would say that this magazine belongs to class E as the magazine is aimed at young people but their parents will have to buy the magazine so this can be debated. the magazine is priced at £2.50.
